One Injured as Masked Gunmen Open Fire near Greenland Football Field

Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred after 10 p.m. on February 9 in the vicinity of the Greenland Field, where three masked individuals opened fire at a man who managed to escape without being shot but sustained minor injuries while fleeing.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), a group of males was approached by three masked individuals. One of the men fled upon seeing what appeared to be a firearm, and shots were fired in his direction.

Authorities have not released details on the victim’s condition beyond confirming that he suffered minor injuries while escaping. No other injuries have been reported, and there is no word on whether any suspects have been identified.

The RVIPF has launched an investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
