The British Virgin Islands (BVI) have once again proven their allure as a premier travel destination, dominating the 2025 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The iconic Soggy Dollar Bar has claimed the coveted title of #1 Caribbean Beach Bar, with Hendo’s Hideout and Poor Man’s Bar following close behind at #4 and #5 respectively. Adding to the accolades, the historic Callwood Rum Distillery, renowned for its Arundel Cane Rum, was named the 4th Best Caribbean Rum of 2025.

These achievements highlight the BVI’s unique blend of world-class hospitality, vibrant cultural traditions, and picturesque landscapes. The recognition comes shortly after the islands were spotlighted in the New York Times’ prestigious “52 Places to Go in 2025” list.

Clive McCoy, Director of Tourism for the BVI, reflected on the significance of the awards, stating, “To have three of our iconic beach bars recognized among the Caribbean’s finest is a testament to the talent and dedication of the people who make these establishments exceptional. Their passion for delivering unforgettable experiences has helped solidify the BVI’s reputation as a top-tier destination. We are deeply grateful to all who voted and continue to support our islands.”

The USA TODAY 10Best Awards, known for celebrating excellence across travel and hospitality categories, rely on nominations from industry experts and voting by travelers worldwide. With an audience of over 5 million monthly visitors, the platform’s recognition serves as a powerful endorsement for the winning destinations.

These accolades further reinforce the British Virgin Islands’ status as a must-visit destination, offering a mix of idyllic beachside retreats and authentic Caribbean charm. For travelers seeking sun-soaked escapes, exceptional drinks, and a rich history, the BVI stands out as a paradise not to be missed.
