BVIslander D’Joni Scatliffe Secures Full-Ride Scholarship to Syracuse University
D’Joni Scatliffe, a senior at East River High School in Central Florida, has earned a full-ride scholarship to Syracuse University.
Originally from the British Virgin Islands, Scatliffe made a remarkable transition from basketball to football just two years ago. Now, as a standout offensive tackle, his talent and hard work have culminated in this opportunity.
Scatliffe shared his excitement with Fox 35 about joining Syracuse, saying, “The coaches, the staff, everything was just amazing.” His journey has been guided by East River Head Coach Adam Chappell, who first recognized Scatliffe’s potential on the football field.
