Car Catches Fire at Delta Petroleum in Pasea Estate, Tortola

A vehicle erupted in flames shortly after 1 p.m. today at the Delta Petroleum Service Station in Pasea Estate, prompting immediate concern and a swift response from emergency services.

Chief Fire Officer Zebalon McClean explained, “The vehicle was on fire and she drove the vehicle into Delta Gas station looking for help.” Fortunately, the quick actions of the Delta staff, who immediately shut off the gas supply and used fire extinguishers, prevented the situation from escalating.”

McClean confirmed that no injuries were sustained, and the gas station itself did not suffer any damage.

McClean praised the Delta staff for their quick actions, noting that they followed protocol by shutting off the gas supply to the pumps and using fire extinguishers to contain the blaze until firefighters arrived on the scene.

Authorities are urging residents to avoid the area as crews work to manage the situation.
