VG Bayside Blazers are the 2024 Battle of the Fittest  Champions

The VG Bayside Blazers captured the championship title in the 2024 Battle of the Fittest Basketball Tournament  in the thrilling final held at St. Maarten’s

The competition  took place from July 14 to 20 at the LB Scott Auditorium in St. Maarten.

Their victory was a proud moment for the team and especially for the manager and owner, Julian Willock, who has long been driven by a passion for the sport and a deep-seated desire to bring honor to their country.

“This victory means the world to me,” Willock remarked. “It’s not just about the win, but about the love for basketball, the camaraderie within the team, and the support from our community. Standing in the LB Scott Auditorium and hearing our Territorial Song was an incredibly touching experience.”

The success of the VG Bayside Blazers would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the coaching and management team, the unwavering spirit of the players, the enthusiastic fans, and the generous contributions from numerous sponsors. Willock extended heartfelt thanks to all who supported the team.

Looking ahead, Willock addressed the people of district three, promising continued dedication and support. “I have not forgotten you. I am even more energised to fight for you,” they affirmed. The team is now gearing up for their upcoming Back-to-School event, promising more community engagement in the near future.
