Attorney Jamal Smith Remembered for Contributions to Legal Community

Acting Governor of the Virgin Islands, Mr. David D. Archer Jr., expressed profound condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mr. Jamal Smith, a prominent figure in the territory’s legal community.

Smith’s passing has left a void in the hearts of many, with Archer Jr. highlighting his legacy of altruism and dedicated service to the Virgin Islands.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must offer my sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mr. Jamal Smith,” stated Acting Governor Archer Jr. “Mr. Smith will be remembered for his altruism as a prominent member of the Virgin Islands legal community who gave many years of service to the Territory by serving on a number of Boards including the Labour Arbitration Tribunal.”

Smith’s contributions extended beyond legal expertise, as he played an integral role in various boards, leaving a lasting impact on the community he served.

“As Acting Governor, I have already spoken to the Commissioner of Police and will attend the National Security Council meeting this afternoon,” Archer Jr. continued. “I am appealing to anyone with relevant information to contact the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).”
