Police Awaiting Additional Test Results From Autopsy Done On Detective Paul France Body

An autopsy was performed on the body of Detective Paul France who was found dead in early October in a submerged vehicle near Queen Elizabeth Park in Road Town, Tortola.

The investigation into Detective France’s untimely death is still ongoing, and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is eagerly awaiting other tests results.

“We have received the autopsy results. We are awaiting other test results. More information will be provided once the investigation has concluded,” shared the RVIPF on October 24.

France was a British citizen and a highly esteemed officer with an illustrious career spanning nearly four decades in the police forces of both the United Kingdom and the British Virgin Islands.

His submerged vehicle was discovered shortly after 8 a.m. on October 7 by a concerned citizen who was fishing nearby.

The RVIPF and Virgin Islands Fire Service were called to the scene and France’s body was found lifeless in the vehicle.
