Police Recover Semi-Automatic Pistol and Ammunition in East End Operation
In a spontaneous operation conducted on September 6, police in the East End area of Tortola successfully recovered a semi-automatic pistol and a significant amount of ammunition.
One suspect has been apprehended and is currently in custody. Due to the ongoing investigation, further details cannot be disclosed at this time.
This recent firearm recovery marks the second incident this week. On Sunday, September 3, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) seized an AK-47 assault rifle and a substantial quantity of ammunition. A suspect was also arrested and has since been charged in connection with this recovery.
The RVIPF remains committed to reducing the presence of illegal firearms on the streets and apprehending individuals found in possession of such weapons.
