Rikkoi Brathwaite Pulled From 100m Due To Muscle Cramp

Sprinter Rikkoi Brathwaite was pulled from the June 10, 100m Star Athletics Sprint Series in Montverde, Florida due to muscle cramping.

The British Virgin Islander ran a time of 9.93 (+2.7 m/s) in the 100m semi-finals to qualify for the finals.

Braithwaite was recently named the best 100m sprinter in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) with a time of 10:11 seconds. He shares the top spot with Nazzio John of Grenada.

The British Virgin Islands Olympic Committee wished Braithwaite “a swift return to the track to continue the good work.”
