Four girls will be vying to be the next Miss British Virgin Islands on July 30 at the Festival Grounds in Road Town, Tortola.

Contestants — Deborah Smith, Lakeisha Warner, Anika Christopher and Roshawna Stevens – were tonight, June 10, presented to the public during a cultural showcase at Crafts Alive Cultural Village in Road Town.

The spectacular reveal event was held under the theme ‘Celebrating A Cultural Blend’, and featured the BVI Optimum Sky Dancers, Pascal the Artist, a performance by former Miss BVI Bria Smith and other local acts.

Those in attendance were told that the pageant returns to the Festival Grounds after 20 years.

Additionally, for the first time the queen will be crowned at the start of the territory’s much anticipated August Festival programme in order to ensure she fully participates in all activities, including the official opening of the Festival Village.

August Festival activities will be held from July 28 to August 11.
