Walter Springette On Wounding Charge
– Victim Was Shot In The Back In Sea Cows Bay
Tortola resident Walter Springette has been charged with wounding and inflicting grievous bodily harm after shooting a man in the back on Tuesday, June 6 in the Sea Cows Bay area.
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said Springette, 37, of Sea Cows Bay was arrested following a shooting incident in his neighborhood at around 8pm which resulted in the victim being hospitalised.
A June 9 Police statement said the “victim reported to the hospital with a single wound to his back.”
Springette will appear in Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
