Flights Diverted To Repair St Thomas Airport Runway
The Cyril E King Airport in St Thomas, United States Virgin Islands was closed for several hours on May 1 to repair a damaged part of the runway.
Flights were diverted to Puerto Rico until 4 pm for emergency repairs to the runway, explained the Virgin Islands Port Authority in a press statement.
The VIPA apologised for the inconvenience caused but stressed that the repairs were “neccessary to enure the safety of the travelling public and our airport users.”
