1,436 Ballots Cast On Advance Polling Day
The Office of the Supervisor of Elections has confirmed that a total of 1,436 ballots were cast on Advance Polling Day.
Today, April 20, residents voted at 10 polling stations throughout the British Virgin Islands between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tortola and Virgin Gorda and between 9 a.m. and noon on Anegada.
The Third Electoral District recorded the most votes with 183.
All ballots will be secured to be included in the final count on Polling Day, April 24.
Ballot scanners/tabulating machines also referred to as DS200s were used for the second time in the territory.
A total of 16,131 residents are registered to vote with 42 contesting candidates.
