Flashback 2019 – Victory For The VIP Led By First Electoral District Representative Andrew Fahie

Jahphix Television (JTV) was there on February 25, 2019, when the final results were read declaring victory for the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) led by First Electoral District Representative Andrew Fahie.
VIP won eight of the 13 elected seats in the House of Assembly, uprooting the National Democratic Party (NDP). Only three NDP politicians were elected in 2019 – party leader Myron Walwyn lost his seat.
A total of 15,038 persons were registered to vote, but 9,720 cast their ballots on Election Day.
VIP won 50.30 percent of the votes, a decisive victory for the territory’s oldest political party.
