Two charged in connection with Yan Edwards’ murder

(PRESS RELEASE) — Two persons are now charged in connection with offences stemming from the murder of Yan Edwards as a result of ongoing investigations into his shooting death on 6 February of this year.
Rowan Arlington Pickering, 60, and Miriam Kimberley May, 34, both of Long Look were each charged with one count of perverting the course of justice. May was charged additionally with giving false information to the police.
Both May and Pickering were granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 20 April 2023.
Initial investigations into the murder of Edwards, 42, of Long Look indicate that he was seated outside a business establishment in Parham Town around 6pm on 6 February when shots were fired. Edwards was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
Officers of the Major Investigation Team continue to appeal for witnesses who could help to identify the assailant or assailants in Edwards’ murder.
