(JTV News) — Accused money launderer Nyron Erickson is now facing outright extradition to the United States of America (USA) after losing his appeal at the Privy Council.

According to court records, it was on February 15, 2023, that the Judicial Committee of the United Kingdom’s Privy Council did not rule in Erickson’s favour, as they ordered that the application for permission to appeal should be refused because the appeal does not raise an arguable point of law.

Erickson now faces a trip to the USA where he is wanted for alleged conspiracy to launder monetary instruments from outside of the US and conspiracy to conceal more than $10,000 from outside the US.

After being wanted for some time, Erickson surrendered to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force on August 30, 2020.

His extraction from the BVI was contested, first at the Court of Appeal locally where they were unsuccessful, which led to them subsequently taking the appeal to the highest level available – the UK Privy Council
