BREAKING NEWS: Lorna Smith to contest 2023 General Elections
(JTV News) — Lorna Smith, wife of former Premier, Dr. D. Orlando Smith, has confirmed she will contest the 2023 General Elections.
The former executive director of BVI Finance will vie for an at-large seat.
Up to press time, she was undecided if she will be contesting as an independent or for a political party.
Lorna Smith is expected to disclose more on The Big Story with Cathy Richards at 4 p.m. on JTV Channel 55.
Dr. D. Orlando Smith is a member of the National Democratic Party.
Elections in the territory are constitutionally due by May 12, 2023.
