]]> Sprinter Adaejah Hodge carved her name into the history books, clocking 11.59 seconds (+0.4) to secure a spot in the U20 Women’s 100m final at the World Athletics U20 Championships. Hodge,  finished second in her heat, becoming the British Virgin Islands (BVI) as its first-ever female finalist in this event.

The 17-year-old Hodge joins an elite group that includes Kyron McMaster, who reached the final of the 400m hurdles in 2016.

Hodge will return to the track on Wednesday evening, with the final set for 7:30 p.m. local time.

]]> Adaejah Hodge has secured her place in the semifinals of the 100m at the World Athletics U20 Championships, currently being held in Lima, Peru.

Hodge, representing the British Virgin Islands, won the first of six heats in the 100m preliminaries, demonstrating her readiness for the global stage. Her performance this morning has set high expectations for her upcoming race.

The young sprinter will return to the track this afternoon, with her semifinal race scheduled for 5:35 p.m. BVI time, where she will seek to continue her quest for gold.
