The Department of Immigration has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Most Improved Department’ by the RATEUS platform, as highlighted in the latest edition of the Public Service Customer Service Newsletter.

The RATEUS platform, a comprehensive tool for evaluating government service delivery, has recognized the Department of Immigration for its significant strides in efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction.

Acting Chief Immigration Officer Mrs. Nadia Demming-Hodge expressed her pride in the department’s progress, stating, “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the Department of Immigration’s staff in serving our community with excellence. It is encouraging for staff members to know that their efforts to streamline processes, improve customer service, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism have not gone unnoticed. As we continue to enhance our services, we expect to see even higher levels of satisfaction among the community.”

The Department of Immigration is seeking the public’s assistance in locating three individuals from Colombia who have gone missing during their visit to the territory.

Mr. Jean Carlo Ospina Cano, Ms. Pamela Mesa Escobar, and Ms. Yesica Yojana Marin Ramirez, as pictured, arrived via the Norwegian Sky cruise ship on Sunday, March 10. However, they have not returned to the ship and are currently unaccounted for.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Ospina Cano, Ms. Mesa Escobar, and Ms. Marin Ramirez to contact the Department of Immigration at 468-4717, 468-4754, or 468-4705. Additionally, individuals can reach out to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force’s hotline at 311.

Efforts are underway to ensure the safe return of these individuals, and any assistance from the public would be greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
