Keon Fredericks, the young man critically injured in a recent motor scooter accident near Delta Gas Station at Pasea on February 27th, has tragically passed away due to his injuries.

A GoFundMe page was set up for Frederick, who sustained severe injuries to his brain and legs in the accident.

The severity of his condition required him to be airlifted to the University Hospital of Columbia.

BVIAA Appeals for Urgent Support for Critically Injured Young Man

In a urgent appeal for assistance, the British Virgin Islands Athletic Association (BVIAA) has called upon the community’s support for a critically injured young man involved in a recent motor scooter collision near Delta Gas Station at Pasea on February 27.

The victim, identified as the son of Coach Ericca Frederick, a well-regarded figure in the local athletic community, is in dire need of immediate airlift to access specialised medical care.

BVIAA is urging individuals to contribute to the cause by donating through ATH#1 284 443 9289 or by bringing cash donations to the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground on February 29 or 30. Donations can be handed over to any BVIAA executive member to ensure swift allocation of funds to assist the family in this urgent matter.

A motorscooter rider is believed to have sustained serious injuries following a collision with a taxi near Delta Gas Station at Pasea on February 27.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred after 7 pm on the eastbound lane of James Walter Francis Drive.

While details surrounding the circumstances of the collision remain unclear, the taxi driver involved stated that the motor scooter unexpectedly collided with his vehicle.

Witnesses reported observing a pool of blood at the scene, where the injured individual received initial medical attention from a female doctor before being transported by ambulance to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
